Please choose the appropriate assessment exam modules for your certification. Part 1 covers general BIM practice and information, and the other optional Part 2 discipline specific exams focus on trade specific material. The certifications are valid for 12 months from the date the certification is issued.

Eligibility Requirements

CD-BIM candidates must successfully pass the online exam. The body of knowledge for both the general BIM topics and discipline specific topics is free for all developers to review and study. This includes the sample BIM Execution Plan that is referenced in the exam. Please register for the exam(s) after you have completed reviewing the online course content. You will receive your certificate(s) promptly after passing the given exam(s). The initial Part 1: General BIM exam is 1 hour in length. Each of the optional Part 2: discipline specific exams are 1 hour each as well.
